Australian “YES Vote” – national and international implications

FCA Members have an opportunity to hear one of the key architects in making The Voice Referendum a reality, Professor Megan Davis, who will speak with the FCA about the Yes Vote, how the indigenous rights will be enshrined in the Australian Constitution and the national and international implications.

There will be a Q & A session as part of this briefing.

About Professor Davis

Professor Davis is a Cobble Cobble woman who was one of the three recipients of the 2021-22 Sydney Peace Prize for The Uluru Statement from the Heart. Professor Davis, an expert in international human rights laws, is Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous UNSW and a Professor of Law at UNSW Law. Professor Davis also serves as a United Nations expert with the UN Human Rights Council’s Expert Mechanism on the rights of Indigenous peoples based in UN Geneva, among other positions in Australia and overseas.
