It is time for Sydney to sparkle again!
FCA was invited at the official opening of Vivid Sydney on 27 May 2022 at the Quay Restaurant in Sydney.

Vivid Sydney is back, bigger than ever before!

27 May to 18 June 2022

The opening commenced with a moving Welcome to Country ceremony ..celebrating the Gadigal People and Country – a powerful dance performance by NAISDA students.

NSW Premier Dom Perrottet and Tourism Minister Stuart Ayres MP led the countdown to Lights On for the festival..with fireworks around the harbour including the Sydney Opera House Lighting of the Sails.

2022 marks the 12th year of Vivid Sydney – with more than 200+ events celebrating
the essence of Sydney’s soul including its diversity, beauty, resilience, First Nations culture, and vibrant creative community.

Thank you message from Destination CEO, Steve Cox, to the festival creative director, Gill Minervini, and to the team at Destination NSW.

As always loved the lights at the Taronga Zoo, one of Vivid Sydney’s 11 key locations. Some amazing displays there this time and a visit to the Wildlife Retreat at Taronga – a must stay venue! Enjoy the culinary delights at Me-Gal restaurant.

Vivid Sydney will contribute into the local Sydney economy, especially hospitality & tourism industries, which has taken a hit with the pandemic.
I’m especially interested in the many thousands of Indian heritage people living in Sydney and in the inbound tourism from India visiting NSW.
