FCA Briefing – Papua New Guinea Landslides

The massive landslide which struck the Enga region on 24 May, 2024 in Papua New Guinea has left hundreds of bodies buried in the rubble with thousands affected. The disaster has caused extensive destruction and loss of life.
According to the UN Agency total affected population, including those in need of possible evacuation and relocation, has been estimated at 7,849 people, or 1,427 households, with mostly children under the age of 16.
