Media Trip – Tribal Warrior Aboriginal Cultural Cruise

Contributors – Claudio Paroli, Raj Suri

The FCA is pleased to announce a working media trip to Immerse yourself in the Eora Nation by experiencing the world’s oldest living culture, 60,000 years of Aboriginal wisdom and storytelling set against the breathtaking backdrop of Sydney Harbour.

Aboard Mari Nawi — meaning “big canoe” — journalists will cruise alongside Aboriginal guides and crew from the Eora Nation, the traditional custodians of the lands and waters of Sydney Harbour.
The cruise offers direct engagement with Aboriginal storytellers who share Dreamtime stories, traditional songs performed in language, and insights into sacred sites, ancient fishing techniques, plant use, and the deep spiritual connections between land, water and people.
Journalists will gain a deeper understanding of the Eora people — including the Cadigal, Guringai, Wangal, Gammeraigal and Wallumedegal clans — their pre-colonial life, the impacts of colonisation, and the enduring strength and resilience of Aboriginal culture today. The experience concludes with a vibrant Aboriginal cultural performance featuring traditional dance and music. Tea and coffee are provided.

Discover the deep cultural heartbeat of Australia on our Aboriginal Sydney Harbour Cruise, where 60,000 years of living heritage comes alive. The cruise offers an authentic opportunity to meet Aboriginal storytellers and connect with the world’s oldest continuous culture in the heart of modern Sydney.
